People may throw around numerical terms such as “million”, “billion”, or “trillion” when referring to dollars or computer bytes, but can you accurately visualize just how much a “billion” really is? The MegaPenny Project has helped by taking one small everyday item, the U.S. penny, and building on that to answer the question: “What would a thousand (or a million, or a billion, or a trillion) pennies look like?”
