honeyblaze-wing-sauce-logoThe Florida Festival of Flavor & Fire will be made tastier this year with the addition of the highly awarded HoneyBlaze Buffalo Sauce. Riverview native Miller Townsend, creator and owner, takes his sauce to Lakeland next weekend representing Tampa as vendors flood in from all around the country.

“We’ve had great success at festivals,” Townsend said. “People tell me they fall in love with HoneyBlaze even before first taste but at first smell.”

HoneyBlaze is manufactured in Tampa but has seen explosive growth in the New England markets and is even featured in the three-story CBS Scene bar that overlooks the New England Patriots football stadium. Townsend, also a member of the National Guard, works full-time selling the sauce because demand has increased so greatly since he developed the recipe eight years ago.

“It’s about pounding the pavement at these events but our success is really a testament to the people who attend,” Townsend said. “Families go for the fun but they’re always rewarded with the quality of the food.”

HoneyBlaze is an independently owned and operated company founded by Miller Townsend.
Townsend, a Riverview native, sells all over the nation but manufactures in Tampa, Fla.
