One of the coolest hot sauces to debut in the past few years has got to be Dave’s Gourmet Adjustable Heat hot sauce. Adjustable Heat is bottled in a 7.1 oz container that allows you to change the spiciness of the sauce by turning the cap. The pump spray cap – similar to the homemade chili sauce mister I mentioned a few weeks back – mixes the ingredients from the two compartments (one containing the flavored portion and the other housing the heat mixture) of the bottle in different proportions. You can have a sauce that is mildly spicy to one that has a scorching zing.
Adjustable Heat is not merely a must-have for the geeky gadget factor. The sauce’s taste is one of the best in the Dave’s Gourmet lineup; even when cranked all the way down to bland, it’s base flavor is almost good enough to stand on it’s own even without barely any capsaicin extract. Turn up the fire and the overall hearty flavor is not lost in the spiciness. The elixir would go well on most anything, including chicken, tortilla chips, and pizza.
Adjustable Heat hot sauce can be ordered directly on Dave’s Gorment website.
